As a midwife, I stand in solidarity with BIPOC, and acknowledge that the disparities in health outcomes for BIPOC mothers and babies in the U.S. are unacceptable. I believe individualized and accessible community maternity care for BIPOC mothers is a crucial step to improve clinical outcomes (reduce morbidity and mortality), improve birthing experiences, and reduce emotional trauma in the perinatal period.

As needed, I offer sliding scale payment options, payment plans, and discounts for BIPOC mothers seeking my care.

As an anti-racist midwife, I'm committed to working toward a future where maternity care is equitable and safe for all.
Since 2021, I've co-facilitated a 5 week anti-racist workshop for midwives, "Transforming White Privilege on the Path to Racial Equity in Maternity Care". We welcome midwives from all educational backgrounds and practice settings. Our community of alums spans the country from the West Coast to the East Coast, joined at the heart by a commitment to examine and transform our privilege, and to dismantle racial bias and racism in maternity care. Please contact our facilitators team at transformingprivilege@gmail.com if you are interested in learning more about our work.
